Street Urchin

While walking the dog around our neighborhood, Matthew and I found this incredible street art painting down a little alleyway. Of course, we just had to stop and take some photos. You may remember this dress, if you've been following us for a while, from this post back in December. I've had it for years, but somehow I don't get sick of it and can always find different ways to wear it. My little squirrel bag is another long time love of mine. I scooped this darling up at the flea market a couple years ago. He's a fun animal friend to carry around with me on my adventures.

I'm so excited it's the weekend because there is lots going on in the city right now. One of our friends is competing in Red Bull Ride and Style on Saturday. There is also a Pop-up Bookbinding workshop starting at 2pm. Sunday is the Alameda Flea Market, and perhaps a round of karaoke afterwards. Or there is Ladies Night at Mira Mira which I really want to check out, at 5pm. I would love to make it to all of these events, instead of having to pick a few and doing what I should be doing, like dishes and grocery shopping. What are your plans for the weekend?

Oh I am sure people stop you in the streets all the time to comment and compliment on your bag. The squirrel is just so darn cute!!

My weekend is full of fun things too:) Dishes, laundry, sewing, and the post office! hahaa.. Actually my husband and I will be going to an art event in our downtown full of buskers and street art:) So it's not a total blowout.

That was a fantastic place to take photos. And the white center is so perfectly at head-level. Also, that black dress is lovely. I can imagine tons of ways to wear it. And, duh, the squirrel bag is great.

Maria E. :

As Sarah said, the little center is at the perfect level for pictures! It kinda reminds me of the ads verizon has. Anyway, very interesting location. :)

Oh. My. Goodness. Gracious. That squirrel bag is amazingly delightful! I think I'm in love with it. It is just too cute.

The Thriftaholic (Leilani) :

AMAZING wall mural, I can't believe it was hiding in a side alley. I have nearly a dozen vintage purses in the same style as your squirrel purse but none of them rival yours-- what a find!

Love the way you wore the dress in a different season too, it's always fun to remix an outfit.
