Rock and Roll

There's something about vintage clothing and abandoned buildings that just together so nicely. I know that a lot of other ladies out there share my love for forgotten homes and places over grown with nature. The way that ivy climbs up walls and through windows is creepy and wonderful at the same time. Piles of wood with paint peeling off and rusty nails sticking out can be so beautiful. This abandoned lot near my house was just calling out for a photoshoot.
I decided to go for a bit more of a rock and roll look for this setting, instead of contrasting it with a sweet vintage dress. My Yosemite tank top was a fabulous find at a thrift store near the national park. I loved the image of the howling wolf and star studded sky. The skinny striped pants were another 2nd hand find that felt kind of glam rock to me. I added black boots and a studded belt as well as my gorgeous crystal necklace from Dear Mina. I felt like a 1970s boho rocker, traveling in my van and camping in Yosemite on my way to see another great concert.

Great outfit! The wolf shirt is so cool and I really like the striped pants! Which vintage stores do you go to in San Francisco, I am planning on going up there and I wanted to know which ones are the good ones?

Katie :

i love that shirt! i grew up going to Yosemite and my Mom used to go up their during the 70's with her hippie friends.

I really hope this isn't the place where you guys got poison oak...I see some very suspicious leaves of three in the background! Tecnu + outfit photos = great success.

Amelia :

i am in total agreement :) i'm a huge sucker for run-down, forgotten buildings. they have such a decrepit, tenuous beauty about them. and this is most definitely rock & roll. love the look

Gorgeous Clara :

love that cardigan!

Gal Meets Glam :

I love the detailed stripes on those pants!

devorelebeaumonstre. :

I LOVE your hair! x

The Thriftaholic (Leilani) :

I'm enjoying this tougher/more casual look-- I swear you must have been a rocker chick in a previous life!

The tank top is amazing, I also like that you found it a thrift near the park. Thrifted items make the best souvenirs of a trip.

Clio :

Waw, staying overnight in Yosemite. I love it there! Wish I could go back :)

Annebeth :

those pants are sickkkk, you look badass and mysterious!

melina bee :

You look so effortlessly cool! I agree, vintage clothes and abandoned buildings look great together. I am so tired of my back yard and can't wait to find some new places like that to shoot once I go back to Portugal next week eep!!

zoƫ, lion heart vintage :

totally adore this tee and that necklace, lady! and i know what you mean about abandoned houses, something about the crumbling disarray around you seems to bring out your beauty even more! :)
