Apartment Love

Some of my favorite things from my San Francisco apartment. The design concept was based around my grandmother's set of paintings entitled "Gypsy"(featured above).  I have an affinity for bric-a-brac and animal sculptures, some of which are peeking out in the photographs! All of the interior items have been carefully curated from flea markets, thrift stores, and "junk" found on the streets of the Bay Area. Some pieces have been refinished by me, and some still need some much needed attention. I will miss my apartment very much, even if we will only be gone for three months. Goodbye, San Francisco! Matty and I are Ann Arbor bound.

I love the jars! Such a cute apartment.

I can't wait to have a flat of my own to decorate and turn into a home. I like the idea of taking an inherited painting or piece of furniture as a starting point. Thanks for it!

Beautiful. I especially love that credenza. A mid century credenza is at the top of my wishlist for my home.

I love little things like this, all your trinkets are so cool, and I love that your grandma's painting is a main feature in your apartment

I always love seeing where bloggers live-- your space definitely reflects your style and personality. It looks like you get lots of natural light too! I've been looking for a vintage console for my TV (like the one you have pictured); you should post refinishing tips if you have any.

Jenny,

I love your apartment!! I hope to have a place like that soon in SF! Anyway in response to your comment, I honestly don't know anything about the public transit in Ann Arbor, I know they have some buses. I think there may be a bus that runs to Detroit but honestly the public buses in Detroit are not very safe or run to that many places... good ole auto industry. If I'm ever in Ann Arbor we should meet up! Anyway email me anytime if you wanna chat hit me up! sparrowandurchin@gmail.com
