Ghost Town

For 218 years, the Presidio served as an army post for three nations. Congress voted in 1989 to end the Presidio's status as an active military installation, and in 1994 it was transferred to the National Park Service. Nestled on the coast of the Pacific Ocean, it is now home to walkways, apartments, and its fair share of abandoned buildings. Since the main entrance to the Presidio is a short drive from my house, Annalise and I often visit the park and find new places to explore. I wish we could actually get into the abandoned buildings, but I envision us getting arrested. The National Park Service has its own police department that patrols the park frequently. However, we often talk about hopping fences and breaking into windows just to get a little peek of what's inside the abandoned military barracks.

Jenni Wells :

ghost towns are really interesting. I've been reading about some in Pennsylvania (mostly old mining communities) recently and really want to check them out. Your skirt is adorable! It looks just like something I would buy.

ps- wolf parade is amazing

Megan Hattie :

I LOVE YOUR PURPLE SHIRT, the details around the neckline and sleeves are amazing! Also, I remember driving through the Presidio last time I was in SF, it seemed like the type of place I'd like to explore. I love abandoned buildings, and have trespassed into them more than a few times... without being caught luckily.
