Young Americans

Summer weekends have been full of adventures and a constant stream of David Bowie's Young Americans. This past weekend was perhaps my most successful Midwest thrifting trip yet. We went to a warehouse filled to the brim with dresses, records, furniture, and bric-a-brac. After digging through piles of clothes, I discovered this amazing 1970s handbag and handmade shirt. Sometimes certain pieces were just meant for you, and this bag is definitely that piece for me. Reunited through space and time!  Perhaps it is my love for Southwestern-inspired clothing and a darker color palette, but I think this bag is the perfect summer accessory. And as a added bonus, my laptop fits snugly in the front pocket.

I've found some additional purses that are lovely and just couldn't leave behind. Since I probably can't fit them all in my suitcase, I will be giving them away on the blog in the next few weeks. Nothing would make me happier than to share them with one of you!

This is awwwesome! I never thought a darker colour palette could look so good in the summer, actually. Maybe it's not all about little white dresses. ; )
I also really like your photo location, and would love to take home one of your purses! Although it probably wouldn't fit in my suitcase either...
