Nestled in the hills of Presidio National Park, there's a cliff that overlooks the Golden Gate Bridge. When it isn't too foggy, Matthew and I travel to the cliff to watch the sunset over the Pacific Ocean. It's an odd experience growing up in the Bay Area and living so close to historic sites such as the Golden Gate Bridge. I live a mere eight minutes from this spot, yet I often take for granted its beauty. It's difficult to imagine living far from the Pacific since so much of my childhood involved weekend trips to Bodega Bay and Stinson Beach. I look fondly on those lazy days spent lounging on the sand and eating barbecued oysters and clam chowder. While it is far too cold to venture into its choppy waters, there is nothing I enjoy more than a day spent near the ocean.
