Jet Plane

I generally don’t get very excited for television shows, but I have been thoroughly enjoying Pan Am. The combination of 1960s fashion and espionage makes for an intriguing storyline. While I don’t own a television (only a record player), full episodes are available through Hulu. If for nothing else, at least watch one episode for the set design. There are so many dreamy vintage frocks!

Maybe inspired a little bit by Pan Am, I wore some fancy items for an after work adventure. This 1950’s jewel tone dress and 1960s pillbox cocktail hat make the perfect pair for an early evening dinner at Bar Crudo in my neighborhood. Happy hour and $1.00 oysters made me one happy lady.

Pan Am sounds awesome but we probably won't get it here in Australia till next year :(

The Daily Fashionista :

I don't own a TV either, but hulu, yes. Although, I'm a tad afraid of getting sucked into another show. I become an addict and sit on my computer watching hours of a show all weekend! lol. But Pan Am might be something for me to get my 60s fix till MadMen comes back....and it better come back;)

Thiruppathy Raja :

congrats! keep up the good work/this is a great presentation.

Galine :

That's the way I feel about Mad Men, which I just started watching (And only have 2 more episodes to go haha) It makes me want to wear a petticoat under everything & go out & purchase 100 dresses from the 1950s!

It makes me feel sad about what happened to fashion. There was so much going on and now we're just surrounded by cheaply made dresses etc. that are overly priced & will fall apart after a few months/years :( Boo!

Great outfit...you look stunning! :)

Sharin :

Like the dress :)

Jo :

You have captured the 1950s oh-so perfectly! <3 I'm yet to see Pan Am; but am always googling the beautiful looks!

A very sweet fall outfit!

Vanessa, Take only Memories :

Absolutely fabulous dress! I really love Pan Am as well. I've only seen a few episodes but I am totally hooked.
I didn't think I'd like it cause I HATE flying but maybe I'd hate it less if the stewardesses were dressed like that now ;)

Lydia :

The print of your dress is amazing!

Kitsune-kun :

Jamie Rose :

I am curious to see Pan Am, although I'm not sure it's come to the UK yet. I really like the print of your dress. I always find it difficult to find vintage prints in those rich colours.

Green Tea and Cupcakes :

I am loving Pan Am it's so good I love the story line and the clothes are amazing

triskelos :

You look amazing. I love this dress so much - lovely autumn colors, and great cut. And the hat is such a nice touch))
I'm madly in love with Pan Am too. I was waiting for it for so long, and it's even better than I've expected. I've always been a fan of Pan Am, ever since I was a little girl. So happy I've had a chance to buy their vintage bag in time, befor e the show hit and the madeness began))
As for the gilr - I love Collette so much! Everything about here - those great dresses, and her storyline, and her amazing make up <3

Just started watching it, loved the first two episodes. Any flaws of the writing are definitely made up for by the set and costumes.

The Thriftaholic (Leilani) :

Sadly I haven't been able to get into Pan Am (it's just a little bit too glossy for me) but I do love your outfit! The pattern of your dress is striking and you're definitely rocking the pillbox hat.

Meanz Chan (Koi Story) :

I love your hat and your dress! I started watching Pan Am, but I haven't been watching it lately, only the first episode. I didn't know how I felt about it, but of course I only watched one episode! Maybe I'll like it more!
