Sweater Weather

1
My mother had a pretty impressive sweater collection when I was younger. She particularly loved animal-themed knits, and she would pair her jumpers with pencil skirts and pleats. While I wished she would have kept some of these sweaters for her now vintage-loving daughter, I still have a soft spot for kitschy 1970s/1980s pieces whenever I see them. This dusty rose number is my newest addition to my rather small sweater collection. I was particularly drawn to the detailed embroidery of the dancing woman and the large collar, with the stripes as an added bonus.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday! I've been sick since Friday, driving me to watch a constant stream of Netflix movies. 1980s crime dramas have been my favorite thus far.

oh i love sweater weather too! my mom wore amazing clothes as well, most of them hand made by her mom and she didn't save any of them. pretty depressing right? haha.

Ohhh this sweater is gorgeous, I love the pale pink with the cream skirt, so wonderful. I wish my mom kept some of her amazing pieces from when she was younger as well.

thats a darling sweater. I wish my mother would have kept her clothes too. She had this faux fur coat that I would kill for now...not literally but you get the picture. Feel better soon!

SoFashionistica :

I was just talking to my mom about her not keeping her clothes from when she was my age! I would have had a lot of pretty vintage clothing myself. Oh well, it's fun to go thrifting and being able to find vintage stuff.

Santina :

I am completely smitten with the embroidery on that sweater! So cute!

Hope the holidays are treating you well!

Monique :

I look back at my mom's wardrobe and wish she hadn't donated her old clothes too. I love the detailing on your sweater and I'm a huge fan of vintage coach bags. Especially the ones with that clasp. Hope your enjoying the holidays

beautiful images xxx I hope you had a Merry Christmas

The Thriftaholic (Leilani) :

Amazing sweater! I have a ridiculous amount of vintage cardigans but only a few pullovers, they seem harder to find for some reason. I'm digging the brown and white color palette here, it's inspiring me to move away from black as my dominant neutral.

Bianca :

I really love how you styled this sweater with the pleated skirt and brown tights. It looks up-to-date, but a little retro as well!
