A few snapshots from a recent trip to Sierraville, California. The ground should be covered in snow, but the weather was eerily reminiscent of late summer. Visiting the mountains has become a seasonal ritual, with the Sierras being a frequent destination. I look forward to camping and hiking in the next few months during visits to some of my most beloved destinations in California.

I know what you mean about the snow...we have nothing in Tahoe either! We're praying/dancing for it though!

You're so lucky to live so close to mountains and national parks!! These pictures are really pretty.
I miss the wide range of geography present in California-- sadly no mountains (or even hills!) in Chicago. Do you camp in tents or are there cabins? Looks like a lot of fun and you're wearing a stylish outfit for the woods.
ugh I do not get around California enough! I need to go to Sequoia National Park and see Gen. Sherman, and a bunch of others...
anyway, I love your photos and I'm seriously considering removing my header... your page looks great, the logo reminds me of both the Monterey Bay aquarium and cypress trees :)

What a beautiful new lay out you have. the trees are breathtaking and so are all these photos. i love that jumping photo. oh and yes let's definitely meet up next month. i have winter break from feb. 20-24 we plan on going snowboarding either the weekend of the 17th or the 24th. hopefully we can link up.
