I have a penchant for playful dresses and skirts with intricate patterns, and this 1970s Egyptian print circle skirt is a favorite of mine. When I first layer eyes on the skirt- hidden amongst a sea of vintage- I fell instantly in love. The print was reminiscent of a hieroglyphic rubber stamp set I had in elementary school. I would sit for hours in my bedroom, reading about the history of ancient Egypt and making hieroglyphic messages on binder paper. My friends and I would exchange the messages at school the next day, and I would attempt to decode the story. This connection to my childhood always makes this skirt a fun piece to wear, especially since it can be paired with so many different colors. However, I can't seem to part from my standard mustard/cream/brown color set.
