This past week, Matthew and I traveled throughout Death Valley and Nevada on a desert trek roadtrip. We stopped at Red Rock Canyon just outside of Las Vegas to explore the canyons and rock formations. I always feel most at home in the desert, especially surrounded by the serene silence of the vast desert landscape. To keep cool from the heat, I wore a classic 1990s sundress and a colorful headband. The ethnic-inspired bag is a favorite of mine, and it was the perfect match to my thrifted 1970s platforms. I plan to make one more trip to the desert during the summer to visit Joshua Tree and a few natural hot springs in Death Valley. This will give me an excuse to wear a floppy hat since temperatures will reach the 100s.

Love the bag! Its a spitting image of some that I've made. But real talk, those sunglasses are made for your face and I wish I could make a small roadtrip to the desert.
