With the release of Asterisk Magazine's Throwback issue, I have been feeling rather nostalgic for San Francisco history. These are a few family photographs of my grandfather, grandmother, and father shot in San Francisco during the early 1960s. I especially enjoyed the last picture- my father appears to be an angst-filled twenty-somtehing wedged between my grandparents.
That's so cool that you have roots in San Francisco, one of my favorite cities. I love these old photos, especially the one of your grandpa gouging the watermelon.
What on earth is your dad holding in the first picture? He does look like he had some angst, hehe. These pictures are great, both for your family and for the chunk of SF history.
these are amazing photos! I love looking through old pictures, probably one of my favorite things to do! It's such a trip to see what family members wore/did back in the day!
Ahh, these are so amazing! <3 It looks like the most amazing city - something I've thought since I was little when I used to watch Full House obsessively! Hopefully a visit will be in store for the near future! ; )
I adore these family photos. Your dad is so handsome! He certainly has an edge to him in the last pic. I love the contrast between his expression and that of your grandparents. Especially your granpa.

your grandpa looks like a sweetiepea.
I love seeing family photos. It's so amazing to think that our parents were teenagers once :)

Great photos - so totally conjure up the time. Your dad reminds me of Dustin Hoffman in the graduate (in a non weird way!)

These look like sooo long ago it's always crazy to see our parents at our age. Love that last one, angst-filled indeed!
